My computer gets horrible network lag, tracerts time out. What do I do? I'm on Comcast high speed internet, but I get high latency and I can't seem to fix it. I tried a tracert, but only the first one got a result, all other 29 came back timed out.

Final Fantasy XI Network Lag? I've recently bought FFXI and have been playing for about 3 days. So far i've experianced some REALLY bad lag, the network/connection kind. Im coming from another MMO that has superior graphics and 10x the population of people than FFXI has, but my lag is horrible. Im running an 8mbs cable connection and no other program requiring the use of the internet is having any issues. Another bit of information is that im NOT running the latest expansion, i am using Chains of Proxxxxx. That shouldnt make a difference, though. I've tried renewing my IP, but that has done me no good, im not sure what else to try. I also forgot to mention that i experienced no such lag from the MMO that i am coming from. I appreciate your help, blue. However the solution to my problem does not ly within the bound of lag by certain area/populations in the game. The game im coming from is Lineage 2, a game in which there are up to a 1,000 people in a town by the name of Giran nightly w/ shops up. (due to thier not being an auction system). In FFXI, however, i lag everywhere. People around me or not. The solution to my problem its much more technical. The only thing i can think of is square changed thier access ports with the release of Treasure of xxxxxxx expansion.

Networking 2 Xbox 360s into a local network, lag free? Hello, just a couple of question. I currently have a LAN with a 4 port router, with 3 Pcs and 1 Xbox 360 hooked up. The Xbox 360 is also hooked up to live. But now i want to hook up another Xbox 360 to the network, but i dont have any ports left. Is there an easier way to hook it up into the network, rather then having to buy another router or switch board? i have seen those usb ethernet adapters, do they work ? Also if i can network them in, is it possible to have 2 Xbox 360s running at the same time, and both hooked up to Live on different accounts? and if so, will it be lag free?

why does my local area network have a time in lag of 30 seconds or more every day? i have to computers hooked up through a blitzz wireless router. i am not using the wireless so it is cable conected by bolth computers to the router . i have about 12 folders being shared over the network on computer a . when i try to access them from computer b there is usualy a 30 sec lag time before it accesses the files on computer a . the internet always works fine on bolth computers its just the files it trys to access that makes the lag . bolth are running xp pro . after it the folders do show up on computer b it works fine for a while then the same thing happends again every day there is no viruses or spyware as i kleened all of those nasty bug out . the files are not accesses from a shared folder but rather from a shared network folder . thanks in advance

Am I the only one who gets serious lag on GTA:IV playing on the PSN network? I mean, so much lag that I'm invincible and cannot kill anyone. It usually only happens in freeplay mode but it happens quite a bit. And I think everyone else in the room/channel/whatever is also affected because you don't see "person 1 kills person 2." Anyone else noticed this? Is it just PSN?

after securing my network my internet is lagging? last friday i secured my wireless router using the WEP and eversince than I am having lagging internet. I have comcast high speed cable internet and at times it is slower than dial up. I pinged the router/modem and comcast and it pings fine. I know its not a bandwith problem because I am only using to computers and nothing else and when I do use my nintendo ds one of the computers is off. When I call comcast they say it not a problem on their end. I just did a tracert to comcast.net and many comcast servers kept timing out. going to give them a call and find out. the main one that kept timing out was the homewood il. okay after turning off the WEP it was still slow so I powercyled the modem and router and all is good.

How can I calculate the resonant frequency of an LC network when I only know the phase angle? So here is the problem; I have an LC network that is being driven by an inverter at exactly 50 KHz. My inverter also has a feature that can measure the phase angle of the voltage/current in degrees (leading or lagging). Computer Networking Torrent Lag? My inlaw runs torrent downloads daily using bittorrent. Which Is Causing The Problem In My Wireless Network? Ok I recieve my internet on my laptop via a wireless network and i play online games on it... I keep getting bad lag on the actual web browser and it is not the actual web browser itself. Why does our new Windows 2003 network crawl? We are having problems with our conversion from a Novell server to a Windows 2003 server. Programs will crawl that require heavy data transfer. I have pinged serveral computers on the network and they typically are showing a 1% packet loss rate. Is this normal? Do you think the problem could be with one of our switches.
