How to increase the download speed in Adsl broadband connection or is there anyway to hack it?

I use a adsl broadband 256kbps. I get a download speed of 16-18 kbps and that really sucks!! Is there anyway I can increase the download speed or is there any way to hack it?

3. well, the speeds are never the same as the speed of your broadband package. my adsl speed is 1024kb/s, but i get downloads around 100kb/s. sometimes i get up to 800kb/s but that's very rare. check with your broadband provider if they have any packages with higher speeds or try one of the download accelerators. just go to www.download.com and type download accelerator. it should return some results. i'm not sure if a download accelerator will help, but you can try it.

5. you should use FLASH GET software, this program helps you to take all the backbone speed of your dedicated branch.if you use this you will download with 29 up to 32 Kbps. but about Hacking ; are you have any knowledge about Linux ? you must be professional user, if you are , you can hack it !!! you must first hack your ISP then , if you want you can email to me!
