What are the advantages of a DSL Broadband connection over ADSL?

With ADSL you may not get your allocated full bandwidth as this depends on how many users in your area use the same service and with DSL that is not the case. Is that a true statement? Are there any other advantages of DSL over ADSL?

1. DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line, and ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. ADSL is a type of DSL, so there is no advantage. It would be like asking "Is there an advantage of Explorer over Ford?" Other types of DSL are IDSL and SDSL.
2. if you get dsl you only share the connection between 10 peps, adsl you can share the connection between 50 peps. so if you have dsl you are more likly to get your true speed
3. It's true. With ADSL, if it's not too busy, it will be faster. DSL will always be reliably the same (as long as it's working, that is.)
4. Most ISP/Telcoms are provoding ADSL or better. Most doing ADSL2. And no it isnt dependant on how many people are using it like cable per se. DSL Broadband is just a generic term for DSL of whatever kind.

Your statement in my opinion cool but remember any connection from LAN which stands for local area network to WAN which stands for wide area network is natural to malfunction from time to time.They function of ADSL and DSL is not to gaurantee you a full bandwith,but they assist you connecting to your ISP
