Speed Up Your Internet Connection

Wireless broadband?

I currently have a broadband connection with orange, and one asdl modem. We have 2 laptops in the house, and my dad, brother and myself all use the internet. With my own laptop, I have a radio card that I can use to connect to the internet whilst I'm at uni. I would like to know if it's worth my while buying a wireless broadband router. Would this enable me to use my radio card to connect to the internet at home (wireless)? Would it enable both laptops to be connected to the internet at the same time? and would I need any additional software (i.e. another radio card for example) to enable the other laptop to connect?

  1. I would say yes, buy a wireless access point. You already have a broadband modem so might not need to by an all-in-one Wireless Router. I would recommend to you either of the following: Just the Wireless Access Point: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/46057 The All-in-One solution: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/52244 or http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119374 (same as above but includes a wireless card for another PC/Laptop) I have used both these products for clients of mine and have received no complaints. I always recommend these Netgears. Best of luck... :-)
