What is the easiest way to share wireless broadband?

I have wireless broadband set up in my apartment. Someone who has just moved in wants to use the internet connection as well. How can we set that up without allowing either of us to access the others files etc.?

1. If it's wireless then you are setup.. No one can access your files unless you have file sharing enabled.
2. Firstly, is the person whom has moved in got wireless abilities in their pc/laptop? Secondly, is the wireless router secured or not? etc. etc. etc.? Not nearly enough detail to answer the question!
