Networking 2 Xbox 360s into a local network, lag free?

Hello, just a couple of question. I currently have a LAN with a 4 port router, with 3 Pcs and 1 Xbox 360 hooked up. The Xbox 360 is also hooked up to live. But now i want to hook up another Xbox 360 to the network, but i dont have any ports left. Is there an easier way to hook it up into the network, rather then having to buy another router or switch board? i have seen those usb ethernet adapters, do they work ? Also if i can network them in, is it possible to have 2 Xbox 360s running at the same time, and both hooked up to Live on different accounts? and if so, will it be lag free?

  1. The best and easiest way is to do this is use one of the PCs ports. You certainly can't be using all of these at once, can you? As far as lag free, I do it all the time. I turn off all the PCs, so the only connections are the 2 xbox 360 consoles...I never had any problems....
  2. The best thing to do if you don't want to buy another switch/router is to buy a USB ethernet adapter for one of the PCs and hook up the 2nd XBOX in the PC's spot. I often have 3 friends come over and the 4 of us play HALO 3 on 4 different 360s and we have no more issues with lag than I do playing by myself.
