1. Is this homework, or are you just curious in a homework-question-asking fashion? In wired connections, there are things like Cable, DSL and Fiber-Optic. In wireless, there are things like Satellite, EVDO, Metro-Fi and a variety of other proprietary solutions that you don't get at home. If you have something to read that has them listed, you should refer to that. You shouldn't have to guess at this one.
