Speed Up Your Internet Connection

new internet connection (+networked) why do I get lag? I'd be thankful if anyone had a solution?

every game ran fine on my 2mb connection, moved house, upgraded to 4mb and i'm networked and lagging crazily, any suggestions what it might be?

1. Did you reconfigured your firewall? make sure you are not bloking ports needed for the game. Are you using a wireless router? make sure its setup with WEP (security) so that people don't connect to it. Try disabling Windows firewall and try again, see if that makes a different. Connect to a different game server. Check for spyware and reboot your cable/DSL modem
2. Maybe is because you got a lot things running at the same time. Make sure your router configuration is correct or call your internet provider for further assistant.
