Speed Up Your Internet Connection

cable internet?

I have cable internet at my house i think it is really slow. it is running around 500 kbs but i had the same service at my other house and it was running about 2300 kbs. Is there any way i would be able to speed my internet up?

  1. Try TCP Optimizer, it actually works wonders if you get the settings right: http://www.download.com/SG-TCP-Optimizer/3000-2155_4-10488572.html
  2. My cable Internet is running at about 24 Mbps. Is there any way that someone else could be accessing your cable and bogging down your speed? Do you have a wireless router or anything? Your neighbors could be accessing your wireless Internet through your router.
  3. do you have the same internet provider as you did when you at your other house?? there is not much you can do to speed up your internet.... you can increase your tcp recieve window to get more efficient file downloading
  4. more than likely there isn't anything you can do. the only thing that i can think of that would make it run slower from one location to another without you making any changes is the actual cabling in the house. older cables have slower connections...simple as that.
